Dreams

Once upon a dream, I feel as if my dazed act has taken what I see.
I fall as if my world crumbles before me.
I feel as if everyone is in a trance; therefore, what I see is not what I do.
For once in my life, I doubt this is what I want.
I hope someone will come and lift this intoxicating presence from my eyes.
I know he will cut the rope that binds me to the rest.
Once done and over with, this incision will bring him and I together.
Until that day begins, my trust will be relied upon a dream of what can make me see.
